A leading US law firm is looking for a Conflicts Analyst to join their team in London.
The Conflicts Analyst role is a newly created position in a fast-growing team with a fantastic opportunity for career growth and professional development. You will report directly to the Conflicts Director and will be responsible for conducting legal research, analysis, and providing counsel on matters pertaining to conflicts of interest and compliance. The ideal candidate should have experience in conflicts-related roles, demonstrating a keen understanding of legal intricacies and compliance protocols.
Key Responsibilities for the Conflicts Analyst:
* Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential conflicts of interest within client engagements, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with legal teams and partners to assess conflicts scenarios, providing insightful counsel and recommendations for resolution.
* Utilise advanced analytical tools and databases to identify and mitigate conflicts risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and professional standards.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices pertaining to conflicts of interest and compliance.
* Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance conflicts awareness and promote a culture of compliance.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including partners, attorneys, and support staff, to facilitate timely conflicts resolution and decision-making.
* Collaborate with the Conflicts Director to analyse trends, identify systemic issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize conflicts risks.
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and knowledge acquisition in conflicts analysis and compliance.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, preferred.
* Minimum of two years of experience in legal research, conflicts analysis, or related roles within a law firm or professional services environment.
* Strong understanding of conflicts of interest principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
* Proficiency in utilising legal research tools, databases, and conflict screening software.
