Qualified English Teacher - SEMH Provision - Portsmouth

Contract: Term-time only
Are you a fully qualified English Teacher with a passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting vulnerable young people? Are you ready to take on a meaningful role in a specialist setting where every lesson has the potential to change a life?
Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Portsmouth, seeking a qualified English Teacher (QTS essential) to join their dedicated team on a full-time, term-time basis.
SEMH schools cater to students who face complex social, emotional, and mental health challenges. These may stem from trauma, anxiety, behaviour disorders, or other adverse childhood experiences. These settings prioritise emotional well-being alongside academic development, offering smaller class sizes, therapeutic support, and highly personalised learning. Teaching in an SEMH setting requires adaptability, empathy, and a commitment to nurturing both the academic and emotional growth of young people. It's a challenging environment-but also one of the most rewarding.
