Job Title: Retail & Post Office Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for retail to join our Love Cardiff Team, supporting retail and Post Office operations. The successful candidate must be available to start their induction from June onwards, work over the summer, and be available during graduation week from 13th to 20th July.
Retail and customer service experience are essential. POST OFFICE experience is highly desirable but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
This is a TEMPORARY, casual contract with the possibility of extension, offering hours between Monday and Friday, 10:30 am – 5 pm (hours may vary during graduation week), and occasional weekends. Availability during June and July is required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Managing daily Post Office operations following official policies and procedures.
* Handling cash, including opening and cashing up at Love Cardiff and the Post Office.
* Replenishing clothing and merchandise stock.
* Assisting with visual merchandising.
* Processing online orders and maintaining the online shop.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
* Responding to customer enquiries via email and phone.
* Supporting key projects and off-site pop-up stalls, including graduation merchandise and Freshers’ events.
* Learning and executing Post Office start and end of day procedures after full training.
* Working effectively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative.
* Prioritising tasks and managing time efficiently.
* Supporting promotional activities to meet targets.
* Being confident, responsible, and proactive.
* Having previous experience in a customer-facing retail role.
* Thriving in a busy, fast-paced environment and demonstrating leadership when needed.
* Utilising social media marketing skills.
