Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading initiatives to recruit and retain midwives, focusing on developing and implementing innovative strategies.
The appointed individual will be part of the education team and collaborate closely with other team members and ward managers to offer pastoral support, as well as practical assistance, to newly qualified and returning midwives in the clinical areas.
The post requires you to work clinically to support practice for newly qualified midwives during preceptorship and support the coordinators when necessary and promote new strategies to enhance our recruitment and retention along with the PDM lead for the preceptorship programme.
