We are looking for an M&E/Facilities Manager to successfully deliver engineering services across a large commercial office site – ensuring performance of the sites from a technical, quality and health and safety perspective, provision of all round engineering support, maintaining the operational assets. Responsible for ensuring that all engineering operational activities within the building are controlled and carried out with due regard to health and safety, business risk and maintaining the 100% uptime criteria. To ensure a programme of activity to transfer HV network responsibility and ensure/maintain HV authorized persons on account and you will champion technical operations compliance at all times. Ideally hold or attain HV AP status. Responsible for maintaining excellent standards of response to asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensuring any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently. You will coordinate authority to work and permits to work to the SSPs and to escalates where necessary approval of permits that can affect the business‑critical systems. Closely monitor the risk assessments and supplier activities on the campus and ensure they follow current H&S legislations. Ensure CERM Quantum is utilised within the RDC environment. Responsibility for ensuring campus logbooks are up‑to‑date and appropriately maintained. Monitor the issue and closure of the permits and provide a report of outstanding permits and monthly permits issued. Scheduling, closing off PPMs and entering reactive works into the planned preventative maintenance system will also be part of the position. Preparation and contribution to monthly client reports. Asset life cycle reporting. Input into annual CAPEX plan. Input into annual OPEX spend. Consider and implement innovation. Reporting and controlling site hazards. Delivery to toolbox talks to the team. Attend both internal and client meetings. Monthly review of building risk registers and updating as and when required. Conduct team performance reviews and set objectives. Encourage and drive team culture in line with the company RISE values. Identify potential opportunities for added value works. Ensure suitable stock are held at each site. Ensure critical spares are identified to reduce downtime and building risk. Develop strong relationships with vendors and regularly provide detail regarding performance to line management. Provide input to annual MA giving recommendations as to any required vendor change.
Proven experience in critical services environments. Proven track record in team management. Hold or have the ability to become a HV authorized person with aspiration to become Senior Authorized Person C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds in an electrical discipline. Confined space entry trained / AP (where required). 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation. C&G 2391 test and inspection (preferred). IOSH trained and qualified. Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff. Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration and air conditioning. Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of technicians/operatives. Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
