Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Bookings Administrator/Receptionist to join the team at Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford. You will be an integral part of a team committed to delivering high quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will deliver a first-class service to patients, consultants and colleagues. A professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work within a team are essential. You must be computer literate (Word and Outlook required). Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage.
Working hours details
Bookings: 09:00–17:00, Monday – Friday (7.5-hour shifts). Reception: 06:30–20:00, Monday – Saturday (6-hour shifts).
What you will bring
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proven experience in administration and customer service
* High standard of computer literacy, including Outlook
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure with set deadlines to process booking appointments
* Team player with good time management
* Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) would be an advantage
