CB&I is seeking a Structural Designer 3 – Contractor for 9 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
Scope of Services
* Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
* Providetechnicalinformation to supportestimates for project work scopes
* Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuringthat all design changes are captured by the change control process
* Conduct site surveyson offshore or onshore assets
* Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS
* provide checking of structural drawings
* Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues
* Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
* Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Qualitypoliciesand procedures as appropriate
* Structural general arrangement drawings

* Installation methodology drawings / documents

* Presentations sketchesetc.to assist in scope communications

Skills / Experience
* Computer literate in Microsoft office applications and relevant discipline specific software
* AutoCAD 2D & 3D

* Recap Pro
* Simulate)
* Ability to investigate and interpret data
* willing to travel offshore/site and capable of completing site surveys
* Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential
* Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
