Title: - Wellbeing and Safeguarding Adviser – 0.88 FTE (36 hrs. / 38 wks.) Are you an experienced safeguarding practitioner with a strong drive to make a difference? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our established team of Wellbeing and Safeguarding Advisers. If you are passionate about keeping students safe, removing barriers to learning, and helping every student reach their full potential, regardless of their starting point, we would love to hear from you. Here’s the standard bit: you will manage complex safeguarding cases as directed by the Wellbeing and Safeguarding Manager, including but not limited to child protection and mental health crises reported to the Wellbeing and Safeguarding Team. You will have up to date knowledge of Safeguarding practices and procedures. You will have experience of providing student support and safeguarding in a post 16 environment. You will have the ability to work under pressure, using you on own initiative and you will have a positive “solution focused” approach in dealing with learners and staff cross college. Ability to communicate a positively and promote safeguarding support. What you’ll need: Resilience and outstanding interpersonal skills in building good working relationships, use negotiating and diplomacy skills in dealing with other college staff, parents/carers, outside agencies, with a relevant level 3 qualification in safeguarding or wellbeing or equivalent coupled with a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy knowledge.
