Senior Mechanical Estimator – Water Sector (Remote) Home-based with occasional travel £65,000–£75,000 package (DOE) We’re working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects as part of AMP8. They’re expanding their pre-construction team and looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join them on a remote basis. What you’ll do: Develop bottom-up and top-down estimates for mechanical works (£5m–£250m projects) Review drawings, specs & scoping docs to build accurate cost models Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors Benchmark using cost curves and SORs Support pricing strategy, risk identification, and tender preparation What you’ll need: Mechanical discipline background estimating experience in the water sector Experience working on clean/wastewater or capital maintenance schemes Familiarity with NEC contracts & estimating tools (CCS Candy = bonus) Great commercial awareness strong attention to detail This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping critical UK water infrastructure over the next five years.
