Group Finance Manager
Location: Central London
We are currently partnered with mobility and delivery services provider offering a range of transport and logistics solutions. The organization caters to commercial clients and leverages digital tools for scheduling and tracking, with a focus on reliability, operational efficiency, and responsible service practices.
To support the continued growth of the business they are now seeking a Group finance manager to join their finance function. .
As a Group Finance Manager, you will lead core financial processes, drive improvements in internal controls, and support cross-functional initiatives. The role includes overseeing monthly reporting, leading audits, mentoring team members, and collaborating on high-impact projects. in addition to supporting the broader business by providing financial insights, managing risk, enabling growth opportunities, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role combines commercial acumen with technical expertise, playing a pivotal role in operational finance, compliance, and strategic decision-making
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Own and reconcile all balance sheet accounts to a high standard.
* Lead the internal audit process for management accounts, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
* Prepare board-level reporting and provide insightful commentary.
* Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
* Manage and develop a small finance team, including mentoring junior staff.
* Foster strong working relationships across departments through effective business partnering.
* Support ad-hoc financial analysis in collaboration with planning and analysis teams.
* Oversee indirect tax filings, including VAT returns.
* Assist with additional finance-related tasks as required.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* Chartered accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience preparing full P&L and balance sheets.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
* Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
