Role: 1:1 Support Staff – Full Time

Salary: £13.70–£14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, Full Time (Term Time)
A dedicated school in Lewes is seeking a compassionate and reliable 1:1 Support Staff member to join their team and provide tailored support to a pupil with additional learning needs. We are looking for individuals who have experience supporting children or young people with a range of needs, whether in an educational setting or through community-based roles. A genuine commitment to inclusion and a desire to make a meaningful impact are essential.

In this role, you will:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning and daily routines
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation, following school guidance
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies
Assist with both classroom-based learning and alternative activities such as sensory sessions, movement breaks, or outdoor learning
Build a trusting, supportive relationship that helps the pupil feel safe, understood, and motivated
