Our client is part of a diverse global company supplying technology and software to the service sector. Operating under a variety of different brands they are well positioned for long-term success by investing in people and offering acquired companies access to a global network of support. This new position sits within one of their divisions and will report into the portfolio Financial Controller. The role will be responsible for ensuring the financial compliance and integrity of all financial information and statutory reporting for multiple companies within the portfolio. It will also provide a wider support with financial compliance activities. This is a wide-ranging role that requires a positive and proactive attitude with the credibility to interact with and influence decisions. Responsibilities: Ownership of intercompany balances and reconciliations including transfers, recharges and management fees. Supporting the transfer pricing calculations and recharges across Group, in line with guidance provided by internal and external tax advisors. Supporting statutory accounts preparation and audit across the territories Ownership of central accounting monthly adjustments for prepayments, accruals and fixed assets. Prepare journal entries in NetSuite and monthly reconciliations within Blackline. Responsible for UK tax and VAT compliance & reporting, including submission and monitoring payment. Support the development and standardisation of reporting processes and controls across the group. Ensure that all financial practices adhere to both local GAAP and Group policies/IFRS. Treasury & cash management. Supporting the completion of monthly corporate reporting including analysis, commentary, and reporting packs in line with group reporting deadlines. Support the preparation and completion of financial statements and liaising with territories to support completion. Liaise with group and local auditors to provide information. Preferred candidate profile: CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified 5 years plus experience in a senior accounting / financial reporting role (practice or industry) Ideally experience of preparing accounts for groups or working within a group function Experience with preparing financial statements and dealing with auditors Excellent technical skills (GAAPand IFRS). Good knowledge of NetSuite and GreatPlains would be desirable. Role requirements: The position is home based but will require attendance at their office in Halifax, one day per week to keep in touch with colleagues, attend meetings and training.
