About the company
Our client is a well-established UK-based beauty and personal care business that designs, manufactures and distributes across cosmetics, toiletries and gifting. Operating across the UK, Europe and Asia, they supply major retailers and develop product ranges across multiple consumer brands - from everyday cosmetics to seasonal gifting and men’s personal care.
The culture here is genuinely collaborative and fast-paced. The company takes staff retention seriously – youll roll your sleeves up, own your output, and be part of a creative environment where good ideas are always welcome.
The role
You’ll sit within the Design team – taking artwork from initial concept through to print-ready files. You’ll collaborate closely with NPD, Marketing, Sales, Regulations and Quality teams, and work directly with factories on production artwork.
This role is being offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract initially, but there is a very strong likelihood it will convert to a permanent position. The business is growing, the brands are expanding, and the need for packaging design resource is only increasing.
What you’ll be doing
* Creating artwork from concept through to print-ready files
* Working to internal and external briefs, following brand guidelines and customer style guides
* Typesetting multi-language packaging with ingredients and warnings to legal specifications
* Concepting new ranges and identifying trends
* Creating visuals and mock–ups as required
* Checking production artwork supplied by factories
* Supporting product photography including lifestyle arrangements and image retouching
* Liaising with Regulatory, Product, Quality and Sustainability teams
* Self–checking finished artwork for consistency and quality
* Maintaining shared trackers and supporting wider workstreams as needed
What we’re looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a packaging design or art working role
* Full, fluent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Excellent understanding of print setup and specifications
* Sharp attention to detail and the ability to self–check finished work
* Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
* A team player who can build strong cross–functional relationships
* Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
* Working knowledge of Excel for tracker management
* Image editing experience is an advantage but not essential
Industry background is not required – we’re looking for strong art working and packaging design experience specifically. Please include a link in your CV to your portfolio when applying.
We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, ages, sexual orientations, religions, and abilities.
