Your role: You ll be out & about in the community on the streets, parks, schools, wherever young people are. Your job is to build trust, have honest conversations and support those caught up in or at risk of anti-social behaviour (ASB). You ll support young people to see alternative options and make more informed choices. Some days you ll run activities; others you ll just listen. You will speak with residents & community members affected by ASB listening to concerns and helping rebuild trust. You will work closely with schools & services to help join things up. This isn t desk based it s responsive and about showing up when it matters most! About you: You re passionate about youthwork and connecting with young people who may be hard to reach or disengaged. You will be reflective, resilient, flexible, and creative in your work. You will have high quality communication and listening skills and have exceptional skills to engage with young people, families, communities, and other professionals to influence change. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic person with extensive experience of working with young people who have engaged in anti-social or offending behaviour. You will have experience of working with other agencies and working to meet good outcomes for all. Reach Adolescence Safeguarding Service is a dynamic and creative service that works with young people, families, victims, and communities who are affected by crime, Anti-Social Behaviour and other risk factors. As a service we take an asset based, restorative approach, using the voice of young people to help empower then to shape their communities and raise aspirations across the borough.
