Support Worker Pontypool, ££ per hour
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Agency Support Workers to join our team in Pontypool. This rewarding role involves providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them live as independently and comfortably as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical and emotional support to individuals in line with their care and support plans.Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks, ensuring a person-centred approach at all times.Offer companionship and emotional reassurance, helping to reduce social isolation and promote overall wellbeing.Support individuals to access community activities, appointments, education, and social opportunities, encouraging independence and inclusion.Work confidently with individuals who may display challenging behaviours, responding appropriately to maintain a safe and positive environment.Encourage and empower service users to achieve their personal goals, build confidence, and enhance their quality of life.Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or changes in a service user’s wellbeing to the relevant team members.Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to deliver high standards of support.Requirements:
A minimum of 6 months’ UK-based experience in a Support Worker role.Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour, or the confidence and ability to work in such environments.A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting others.Reliability, flexibility, and willingness to work across various shifts and settings.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, using initiative and sound judgement when required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.About the Company
