About The Role
Leeds Conservatoire is looking for an experienced live events professional to join the Events Production Team as Events Production Manager to manage the delivery of productions in the School of Drama. We are a leading specialist institution delivering high‑quality education in music, drama, and production, and the Production Manager sits at the heart of this activity, supporting a diverse programme of performances and productions across theatre and live events. Working closely with academic staff, students, and external partners, the post holder plays a key role in ensuring productions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high artistic and technical standard.
Interviews will be held during the week commencing 22 June 2026.
What You Will Do
* Oversee the management, procurement, and delivery of drama productions, ensuring safe, efficient use of venues, resources, and budgets.
* Manage production budgets in collaboration with the Budget Holder to achieve high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes.
* Lead technical delivery and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
* Manage and coordinate production teams and contracted creatives to ensure successful delivery.
* Implement and oversee Safe Systems of Work across productions in line with agreed standards.
About You
* GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
* Experience in performing arts and theatre production, including technical roles within a producing environment and/or educational setting.
* Strong technical theatre knowledge (e.g. stage management, lighting, sound, design) and understanding of production teams and networks.
* Experience managing production budgets, including expenditure, and handling contracts and invoices for external practitioners.
* Knowledge of health and safety processes, including writing risk assessments.
* Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work flexibly and accurately under pressure.
