A well-established law firm in the Thames Valley is seeking a proactive and client-focused Private Client Solicitor to join its expanding Wills & Inheritance team based in Reading. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified to 3 years' PQE Solicitor to develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
The Role:
The successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload of private client matters and assist senior team members as required. Responsibilities will include:
* Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
* Advising on Inheritance Tax and estate planning
* Supporting elderly and vulnerable clients
* Contributing to the team's business development and networking efforts
This is a client-facing role that also offers exposure to marketing and profile-raising opportunities within the local community and professional networks.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified Solicitor with 0-3 years' PQE in Private Client law
* Solid understanding of Wills, LPAs, IHT planning, and elderly client issues
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Organised, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
* Interest in business development and growing a professional profile
