This position requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not currently a PVG member for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting in the role.
The role is based within our Community Therapy team in East Lothian and involves enhancing our Unscheduled Care pathways, including D2A and POA, through the week and providing therapy cover over the weekend.
Hours will be scheduled on a rota across 7 days, with no more than 5 days worked within a 7-day period.
Both full-time and part-time hours are available; part-time hours will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
The post involves acting independently to provide comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients.
You will supervise occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers, and occupational therapy students.
You will develop and deliver training programs for professionals and carers to educate them on therapy processes and interventions related to patients' medical and social needs.
