Job Title: Airframe / Aerospace Fitter – Hourly Paid (up to £17.07 PH after probation)

About the Role
Are you looking for a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking organisation in the high-tech engineering sector? We are recruiting experienced Airframe Fitters to join a well-established aerospace manufacturer at their purpose-built facility in Dukinfield.
As an Airframe Fitter, you will play a key role in assembling metallic aerospace structures, ensuring all operations are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out assembly operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures and aerospace quality standards.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Operate tools and equipment safely, ensuring all are correctly calibrated.
* Perform key processes including drilling, countersinking, riveting, sealant application, and fitting of helicoils, bearings, and bushes.
* Demonstrate practical skills through a trade test (2nd stage interview).
Essential Requirements
* Aerospace airframe/structural assembly experience, ideally within the aerospace sector.
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
* Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with 5S standards.
* Proficiency in a range of aerospace fitting processes.
Working Hours
* Standard hours can be compressed into a four-day working week: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 4:30pm.
* Overtime: first 10 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate, any additional hours at double time.
