You will be based in our friendly, all female home in Aylesbury supporting and empowering adults in their 40's with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible - whether that is helping with everyday life skills, attending appointments together, or sharing hobbies and interests.
Whilst the people you will be supporting enjoy their daily routines, we can guarantee that no day will be the same. You might find yourself supporting Holly* to go to the cinema, Sarah* to volunteer at the local food bank, or enjoying a cosy evening in with Josie* watching a musical with a foot spa.
You will build close relationships and create a safe and trusting environment helping with tasks like taking medication, having a shower, and brushing teeth, as well as empowering the people you will be supporting to make their own choices and be in control of their own lives.
You will work a mixture of shift patterns (7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm), including weekends and bank holidays on a full or part time basis. You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 waking night per week as part of your contract.
You will need to have a full UK manual or automatic driving licence for this role.
Please note we can only consider female applicants due to the nature of the role.
*Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. You will need to have a full UK manual or automatic driving licence for this role.
