Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to individuals in a care home setting. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their independence.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to encourage independence.
* Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
* Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each resident receives personalised support.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
* Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement effective home care strategies.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
* Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping are advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents as needed.
* Must be willing to undergo background checks and training as required by the organisation.
