<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are now recruiting for staff to work in our brand-new, purpose‑built hospital within the site at Royal Sussex County Hospital. The new ‘Louisa Martindale’ building provides spacious, well‑resourced and modern facilities for patients and staff across 40 wards and departments. The building includes a new ‘Welcome space’, running the entire length of the building, offering ample space for everyone and a high‑quality retail outlet.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support the Lead Sonographer in the provision of a professional ultrasound service.</li><li>Undertake a variety of diagnostic obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound examinations in line with departmental protocols.</li><li>Deliver a high‑quality imaging and reporting service for University Hospitals Sussex.</li><li>Produce appropriate written reports for the medical profession and keep accurate records using CRIS, Viewpoint and PACS.</li><li>Communicate potentially distressing diagnoses directly to patients and refer accordingly.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of patient care and medical ethics.</li><li>Participate in CPD and other developmental activities and actively take part in departmental research/audit.</li><li>Supervise the clinical training of Student Sonographers and other radiology personnel.</li><li>Supervise and mentor recently qualified Sonographers.</li><li>Help maintain the high standards of the ultrasound department and encourage teamwork with all staff members, including HCAs and reception staff.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>HCPC or GMC, RCT or NMC registered.</p><h3>Diversity and Inclusion</h3><p>At UHSussex, diversity is our strength, and we want you to feel included to help us always deliver excellent care everywhere, as shown in our Outstanding for Caring CQC rating.
