Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical medicine, with professional training and board certification (or international equivalent) in a specialty that spans all ages (including emergency medicine, family medicine, or combined internal medicine/pediatrics).
Experience in medical direction of acute care programs utilizing other medical professionals/paraprofessionals is a plus, as is military or law enforcement adjacent experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to oversee designated medical operations globally across diverse settings, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety, and provide direct medical care primarily via telemedicine, but also in-person care when operationally needed.
The Medical Director will also play an important role in procuring new business.
What You Will Work On
* Provide telemedical (and as appropriate, in-person) medical care to patients, including advice, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute disease, including exacerbations of chronic diseases
* Conduct thorough virtual medical assessments, including review and documentation of past medical records, and develop individualized treatment/health management/wellness plans as required
* Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote wellness and disease prevention
* Collaborate in the development and execution of long-term health and wellness plans for members
* Deliver highly patient-centric “white glove” services within evidence-based care standards
Collaboration and Referral Management
* Facilitate referrals to specialists and other health care providers and provide oversight and follow-up for continuity of care
* Collaborate with the patient’s concierge physician or primary care provider as needed
* Communicate with external providers to obtain and review consultation reports
Medical Records and Documentation
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patient encounters
* Perform comprehensive medical record and history reviews, and ensure patient clinical profiles are complete
* Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements regarding documentation, privacy, and confidentiality
* Utilize the company EHR system to record patient information and streamline processes
Remote Medical Care
* Provide management, oversight, and care delivery for remote clinical spaces and deployed medical staff
* Conduct regular assessments of medical facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with standards
* Coordinate with local healthcare providers to facilitate access to specialized care and patient transfer
Quality Assurance and Patient Safety
* Assist in the development and review of policies, procedures, and clinical care guidelines
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and service delivery
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement evidence-based practices
* Promote patient safety and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
Leadership and Team Development
* Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified health professionals in collaboration with HR
* Provide leadership and direction to clinical teams, ensuring high performance and quality care
* Establish training programmes and performance evaluation processes
Administrative and Logistical Support
* Review and edit medical emergency response plans and travel advisories
* Collaborate with the Private Client Team on administrative and clinical needs
* Provide on-site assessments and physician staffing when required
* Participate in daily rounds and share on-call schedule (24/7/365 coverage)
* Provide oversight on medical logistics, including equipment, supplies, and formularies
Business Development
* Work with leadership to develop and execute business plans and strategy
International Consultant Network Development
* Identify and maintain relationships with global healthcare consultants and specialists
* Support systems for maintaining consultant data and relationships
Who You Will Work With
* Internal clinical teams, including EMRs, EMTs, nurses, ARNPs, paramedics, and midlevel providers
* Leadership and Human Resources teams

* External healthcare providers, specialists, and international consultants
* Patients requiring high-touch, concierge-style medical care
What You Will Bring
* Medical degree (MD/DO or international equivalent) from an accredited institution
* Board certification or international equivalent in a relevant specialty
* Active medical license in good standing and willingness to obtain licensure in other jurisdictions
* Minimum of 15 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership in a healthcare setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent bedside manner
Enhancements (Not required, but ideal)
* Experience working in remote or austere environments
* Knowledge of telemedicine and remote medical technologies
* Experience developing and managing virtual healthcare practices
* Experience in hiring and managing healthcare professionals and staff
* Strategic thinking and business planning capability
* Familiarity with international healthcare systems and networks
* Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
