Collectibles Exception Processor Location: Ruislip, Middlesex, UK Reports To: Authentication Guarantee Supervisor Employment Type : Full-time Contracted Position through an Employer of Record (EOR) Compensation: The reasonable estimated hourly rate for this position is £12.25. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience and skill set. Role Overview The Collectibles Exception Processor plays a critical role in upholding our commitment to collectors by managing exceptions and logistical challenges within our eBay operations workflow. The core purpose of this position is to ensure that every item receives the careful attention it deserves, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity that our customers trust us to deliver. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve exceptions in the processing workflow with meticulous attention to detail, including discrepancies, damaged items, and incorrect submissions Apply our principle of "sweating the small stuff" to ensure accuracy and consistency in every resolution, as trust is our brand and we must always get it right Coordinate with internal teams and eBay GCX to address and rectify operational issues, always working backwards from the collector's needs Communicate effectively with eBay GCX regarding exception status and resolution timelines, ensuring transparency and keeping the collector's best interests at the forefront of every decision Manage logistics coordination for special handling requirements and non-standard shipments, treating each item with the care and respect it deserves Handle delicate and valuable items with the understanding that our customers are trusting us with their most prized possessions, regardless of monetary value- be efficient in your work, but never rush Maintain accurate records of all exceptions and resolutions in company systems, ensuring consistency and reliability throughout the process Ensure compliance with security procedures for high-value items, demonstrating the honesty and ethical standards that define our brand Identify patterns in exceptions and flag appropriately to help improve processes and support continuous learning across the team Support general operations tasks during peak periods as required, collaborating effectively with colleagues Demonstrate willingness to participate in mandatory cross-training across multiple operational roles, investing in your own development and contributing to a culture of growth Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional partners, always assuming positive intent Provide and receive feedback constructively and respectfully, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive Required Qualifications & Experience Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate and resolve complex exceptions Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities, essential for getting it right every time Effective written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners Ability to work independently and as part of a team, bringing out the best in everyone Proficiency with computer systems and willingness to learn new software as we continuously improve Demonstrated ability to handle delicate and valuable items with care and respect Previous experience in logistics, operations, or customer service Familiarity with collectables or trading cards Experience with eBay or e-commerce platforms Working Conditions This role primarily operates within a warehouse environment, which may include adjacent office spaces.
