Job Purpose:
To drive service sales and profitability through the use of effective and professional sales techniques. Build customer trust and confidence in the company by delivering a consistently high standard of performance. Ensure exceptional courtesy and efficiency in all customer interactions and communications. Accurately capture customer requirements, vehicle details, and service histories, securing necessary authorisations where required. Maintain and utilise a structured customer follow-up system and manage the service department's loading process efficiently to optimize workflow and customer satisfaction.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities:
8. To ensure customer awareness of all products and services available.
9. To sell additional products, service and repair work in a professional manner.
10. To carry out promotional work as directed and with enthusiasm.
11. To ensure loyalty club membership is offered on every occasion.
12. To maximize used car warranty policy sales.
13. To ensure reception area is staffed at all times or by agreement with management.
14. Ensure accurate invoicing and job costing in the department.
15. To maintain a high level of Customer Service and Satisfaction.
16. To control clerical work and administration.
17. Maintain effective liaison with customers and other members of workshop staff.
18. Maintain effective liaison with other departmental staff where appropriate.
Experience Required
Essential:
19. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and other staff members.
20. Ability to accurately record all relevant information.
21. Ability to handle customers effectively.
22. Technical qualifications an added advantage.
Desirable:
23. Ability to receive and register payment for work carried out, accurately and precisely.
24. Up-to-date knowledge of warranty procedures and documentation.
25. Up-to date knowledge, where appropriate, of computerised recording procedures.
26. Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation and of trade practices.
