Your new role
A fast-paced, PE-backed logistics and distribution company based in Grimsby is seeking an experienced Payroll Professional to join its in-house payroll team.
You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate weekly and monthly payrolls for over 700 employees, working collaboratively to meet strict deadlines. The business has recently migrated to iTrent, integrated with Quinyx for Time & Attendance, so experience with these systems is a plus.Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end payroll processing including starters/leavers, SSP, SMP, holiday pay, and HMRC submissions.
* Pension scheme administration in line with Auto Enrolment legislation.
* Handling payroll queries (tax, NI, pensions).
* Data extraction and validation from T&A systems.
* Supporting year-end processes including audits and P11Ds.
* Driving process improvements and automation.
What You’ll Bring:
1. Strong technical payroll knowledge (RTI, PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, AE).
2. Proven experience managing complex payrolls in medium-sized organisations.
3. High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
