About the role:
Are you looking for a meaningful, hands-on role where your daily work directly supports patients and families across our community? We’re looking for a Donation Assistant with delivery and collection responsibilities, who can help us turn every generous donation into vital funds for care. As a key part of our retail team, you’ll ensure that donated goods are sorted, valued, and distributed efficiently across our shops and online platforms, helping us maximise revenue that funds specialist care.
We are looking for someone who will:
Sort and categorise donations (furniture, homeware, clothing, etc.) for resale in shops and online.
Identify high-value or specialist items for our e-commerce team to maximise returns.
Ensure shops receive accurate, high-quality stock to support sales.
Follow recycling/disposal protocols for unsuitable items in line with our environmental standards.
Support volunteers, help keep workspaces organised and promote the Hospice’s mission
Collect and deliver goods between customers, hospice shops, and sites with a friendly, professional approach.
Maintain delivery logs, carry out vehicle checks, and plan efficient daily routes across North West Wales.
Represent the Hospice positively in every interaction, donors and customers are at the heart of what we do.
To do the role you'll need:
A clean driving licence and confidence driving larger vehicles
Experience in retail, stockroom or customer service (desirable but not essential)
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Friendly communication skills and basic IT confidence
Physical fitness and willingness to handle manual tasks
Knowledge of North West Wales and route planning tools (desirable)
