As a company, were dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring everyone who works with us is committed, connected and creative in making us the world's preferred choice.We are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader (night shift) to work at our Wolverton site (MK12 5PT).The role offers a salary of £36,053.05 per annum plus £1,872 nightshift allowance per annum, with a Sunday Thursday shift pattern, 22:00 - 06:00.The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of their shift, leading a team of colleagues, and ensuring staff are briefed and managed in accordance with Yusen Procedures within a busy warehouse environment.Benefits- 22 holiday days per year moving to 25 days following the completion of 5 full holiday years.- Free Parking- Opportunity for Unpaid Leave- Free Eye Test *- Employee Referral Scheme- Cycle to Work scheme- Critical Illness Cover- Free online Fitness Platform i.e., Pilates & Yoga, Mindfulness/Meditation, 24/7 support, advice, diet and Nutrition- On-Site Mental Health First Aiders- Employee benefits i.e., Free eye test*, up to 25% off gym membership, high street vouchers- Free access to 24/7 online GP, mental health support service, Life Events Counselling, Care Concierge Service- Tailored development and career opportunitiesKey tasks- Responsible for the running of the shift ensuring staff follow SSoWs and SWIs.- As directed, safely handle products through all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to- Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage is kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm- Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse, including manually supporting the team with tasks as and when required- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees- Ensure that all MHE is used in an appropriate manner, identifying and arranging relevant training to ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained employees to meet business demands- Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, and supporting with investigations and disciplinaryhearings as necessary- Review the training and development needs of functional employees to ensure that employees are trained to the required standards- Looking at continuous improvement with knowledge of Kaizen and/or 5S highly advantageousKey requirements- Previous experience of leading a team in a fast-moving operation- Previous experience in front-line warehouse management- Previous experience of HR processes such as return to work & disciplinary & grievance processes- Awareness of manual handling techniques is essential- Previous experience with MS Excel & knowledge / operational experience of WMS SCALE- Experience in using RF scanners- Counterbalance, Reach or T2 experience/licence is advantageous- Must be flexible and proactive, with the ability to work in a team- First Aid & Fire Marshal trained (desirable)Please note, this role will require heavy lifting.Yusen Logistics is an equal opportunities employer, that encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible applicants regardless of their personal circumstances.
