Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with experience in using both hand and power tools. This role involves constructing and repairing structures made of brick, block, and other materials, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The candidate must have there own tools and vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and plans.
* Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction projects.
* Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to achieve precise measurements and finishes.
* Operate power tools including saws and drills to cut materials accurately.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
* Conduct repairs on existing structures, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
* Knowledge of carpentry principles is advantageous.
* Familiarity with roofing techniques is a plus.
* Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
