Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Apprentice Early Years Chef based in Halifax. The successful candidate will prepare and cook healthy meals for young children, adhering to dietary guidelines and food safety standards. The role involves working across two nursery settings and assisting current nursery chefs. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Qualifications
* GCSE in English Language or Literature, grade 4 or above
* GCSE in Maths, grade 4 or above (desirable but not essential)
* Culinary skills and experience in food preparation
* Knowledge of dietary guidelines for young children
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Food hygiene and safety certification (desirable but not essential)
* Experience working with young children (a plus)
* Basic First Aid training (beneficial but not essential)
