Description
* Manage and oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all matters.
* Provide expert advice and strategies to optimise clients' tax positions.
* Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns and related documentation.
* Assist clients with HMRC enquiries and liaise directly with HMRC on their behalf.
* Identify planning opportunities and provide proactive advice to clients.
* Support junior team members by providing guidance and reviewing their work.
* Maintain up‑date knowledge of tax legislation and its implications for clients.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance service delivery.
Profile
A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:
* A recognised qualification in accountancy or tax - ideally ATT & CTA, but ACA & ACCA also considered.
* Proven experience in personal tax within the UK accountancy practice sector.
* Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and HMRC effectively.
* Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and meet deadlines efficiently.
