About the Role
In this role, you will play a valuable part in supporting the education, welfare, and personal care of pupils, contributing directly to the vibrant life of the PE and Games Department. You will assist in lessons, fixtures, and after‑school practices, using your strengths and interests to enhance students’ sporting experiences. Your days will be varied and flexible, ranging from helping with PE and Games sessions to accompanying staff and pupils on trips and co‑curricular activities. You will also support essential administrative tasks such as emails and SOCS updates, helping the department run smoothly. Throughout your work, you will uphold the school’s safeguarding procedures and ensure the wellbeing of students remains at the forefront of everything you do.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (42.5 hours per week), worked during term time only for a total of 34.8 weeks per year. The role is offered on a fixed‑term basis from September 2026 to July 2027. There are 2 openings available.

Who We Are Looking For
You are enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to immerse yourself fully in school life. You enjoy working with children aged 6–16 and bring the energy, initiative, and teamwork needed to support a busy sports department. You are educated to A‑level standard (results due Summer 2026, have strong GCSE English and Maths, and have skills, or a genuine passion, for assisting across a variety of sports. Additional interests in Music or Drama are a bonus. Most importantly, you are flexible, motivated, and ready to contribute positively to the wider school community.
