At Principality Building Society, were on a mission to protect our members, our colleagues and our organisation from the growing risks of Financial Crime. Were currently looking for two Financial Crime Analysts to join our dedicated Financial Crime team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and apply your investigative and analytical skills in a purpose-driven organisation where doing the right thing is at the heart of how we work.

What youll be doing

As a Financial Crime Analyst, you will:

1. Investigate internal suspicion reports across Principality Building Society, including Commercial.
2. Analyse large volumes of data to assess the detect financial crime risks.
3. Provide expert advice to teams across the Society on financial crime risks, policies and controls.
4. Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, including document verification for customer onboarding.
5. Use specialist screening and account monitoring tools to identify suspicious activity.
6. Support complex fraud investigation in line with the Principality Fraud Response Plan.
7. Prepare and submit reports to relevant bodies such as the Natonal Crime Agency (NCA) and Cifas.

Skills & Knowledge:

8. Strong analytical and investigative skills.
9. Solid understanding of financial crime risks.
10. Knowledge of Financial Services products (e.g. savings, mortgages).
11. Discretion in handling sensitive information.
12. Understanding of risk management and a risk-based approach.

Experience:

13. Previous experience in financial crime prevention or within Financial Services.
14. Practical experience conducting investigations.
15. Familiarity with submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the NCA or CIFAS.
