Our client, a global well-established freight forwarding company are looking for an Import Operations Consultant with scope to learn exports and niche market movements – to join their team based in their Gatwick offices.

* Monday to Friday working pattern: 9am - 6pm. After probation, 1 weekend in 3 to cover time sensitive shipments, paid weekend rates

Duties and Responsibilities of the Import Operations Consultant:
* Handling import freight forwarding operations from start to finish
* Handling incoming calls and customer enquiries
* Preparing accurate job quotations
* Processing operational Import shipments
* Liaising with carriers, contractors, and internal teams
* Costing jobs and invoicing
* Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties if required
* Managing your own desk efficiently and maintaining accurate records
To be Considered for the Import Operations Consultant:
* Previous experience in handling import freight forwarding operations of any mode of transport - Air, Road or Sea
* Customs operations experience is preferred but not essential
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team
* IT literate
