IT Support Technician (On-site – Stamford)

Due to continued growth and expansion, Kyonet is hiring an IT Support Technician to be the dedicated on-site support presence for one of our valued client locations. The client is due to open a new site in Peterborough and travel will be required between them.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on support, user interaction and solving real-world IT problems in a business environment.
What you'll be doing
Providing 1st & 2nd line support to end users
Troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
Managing tickets through to resolution within SLAs
Setting up laptops, desktops and peripherals
Supporting Microsoft Windows & Microsoft 365
Managing users in Azure Active Directory Services
New starter and leaver setup
Escalating complex issues when required
Maintaining documentation and asset records
Delivering excellent customer service daily
Continuous improvement of IT services, SOPs and all things cyber security
Working with the Kyonet service desk team
Assisting in project work with deployments of Servers, Switches, Security systems both Cyber and physical
What we're looking for
Experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
Good Windows troubleshooting skills
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 experience
Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Strong communication and organisation skills
A proactive, customer-focused attitude
Comfortable with working at a client site whilst maintaining good comms to the support teams
Must have UK driving license and own vehicle available
Nice to have:
Azure, Intune, MSP experience, or IT certifications (CompTIA/ITIL)
