Qualified Adults Social Worker
Location: North West
Pay rate: £30 per hour
Our client is seeking Qualified Social Workers to join the Adult Services within a local authority in the North West, specifically in the Mental Health Team. Candidates must have previous experience in Adult Social Care, with a good understanding of relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Mental Health Act.
The team handles screening of safeguarding referrals and manages complex safeguarding cases. Responsibilities include conducting Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, safeguarding and multi-agency work, and fulfilling duty functions within the team.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government standards, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional knowledge and experience will enable you to make assessments and decisions on appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.
You will be dedicated to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, striving to provide the best possible results for children and families, with a focus on protection, efficiency, and support for vulnerable populations.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
* Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or similar statutory or voluntary agency.
* Committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service provision.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Experience working with diverse client groups and in multi-disciplinary settings.
* Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.
* At least 4 years of qualified experience.
Role Responsibilities:

* Manage an agreed caseload effectively.
* Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Create individual care plans that respect diversity and promote dignity and empowerment.
