PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £59,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction
Responsible for collaborating on and contributing to creating, executing, and reporting on tests for radio playout systems. While the role is focused on testing, prior experience as a user of radio playout or broadcast systems is highly desirable to ensure a deep understanding of user workflows and expectations. The role involves working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure high-quality delivery of radio broadcast technology.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee acceptance testing of new installations, ensuring test logs/registers are kept up to date.
* Work with system vendors and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
* Create and maintain test cases for radio playout systems, including functional, system, regression, and exploratory testing.
* Troubleshoot and verify reported issues, identifying root causes and working with relevant teams to resolve them
* Lead or contribute to defect triage meetings and maintain clear, concise defect reports.
* Write, review and take responsibility for technical documentation as part of project and product delivery.
* Collaborate with developers, engineers, and product managers to ensure test coverage aligns with user workflows and technical requirements.
* Provide insight into usability and accessibility from a user's perspective.
* Support continuous improvement through experimentation and analysis.
* Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders at various levels.
Are you the right candidate?
* Experience assisting with the design, delivery, support or operation of radio production and playout systems and infrastructure within a media technology environment
* Experience assisting with systems test and handover procedures.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* An aptitude for learning new technologies and ways of working.
* Ability to think creatively, problem solve and innovate.
* Good written and spoken communications skills.
* Ability to experiment, analyse and continually improve test practices
* Comfortable working in cross-functional, agile teams.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of systems engineering for key operational criteria (monitoring integration, performance testing, security considerations).
* Proven experience in software testing, ideally in media or broadcast environments.
* Experience with test planning, execution, and reporting.
* Experience of operational workflows as they pertain to complex media technology systems
* Experience with media systems integration and testing.
* Understanding of cloud-based media workflows and IP-based broadcast technologies.
* Familiarity with monitoring and support tools used in broadcast environments.
* Experience with defect and test case management tools.
* Knowledge of usability and accessibility standards.
