Location: Tamworth AreaStart Date: September 2025Contract Type: Full-timeWe are looking for a calm, patient and resilient SEN Support Assistant to work with Key Stage 1 pupils in a dedicated SEN provision within a mainstream primary school.Role Overview:Supporting pupils in KS1 who may present with challenging behaviourWorking in a structured SEN space alongside other experienced support staffSupporting learning and emotional regulation in small groups or quiet settingsNo personal care involvedPupils are supported by multiple adults to help them build secure relationships and a consistent sense of safetyThe Ideal Candidate Will:Have experience working with children with SEND and behavioural needsRemain calm under pressure and use a nurturing, consistent approachBe confident in supporting both 1:1 and small group sessionsUnderstand or be willing to learn positive behaviour support strategiesWork well as part of a wider team, valuing collaboration and consistencyKey Responsibilities:Building trusting relationships with pupils and supporting them in line with their individual needsPromoting positive behaviour and emotional regulationDelivering and adapting learning tasks under the guidance of the class teacher or SEN leadAssisting with transitions and managing sensory or emotional needs in a supportive wayThis is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion and making a difference in young learners' lives.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
