My client has been on an exciting journey to embed data at the heart of strategy, with the data analytics team leading the way. You will join a close-knit Data & Analytics team focused on driving value from data across B2C and B2B businesses in the UK, Ireland, and North America.
Responsibilities
You will have direct responsibility for forensic analytics for the UK and North America, leading a team of two analysts.
Forensic Analytics
* Work closely with stakeholders in the Direct-to-Consumer business, including marketing, sales, operations, and category management, to interpret trends and provide consumer insights.
* Lead focused forensic analysis to answer stakeholder questions and support data-driven decision-making across the value chain.
* Support optimization of the product proposition by evaluating categories and consumer trends, and recommending evolutions in the offering.
* Track the evolution and distribution of the target customer base across geographies to support market penetration.
* Analyze and interrogate new datasets such as SAP, Telematics, VoIP call data for insights and opportunities.
Marketing Budget Optimization
* Track marketing campaign performance using First Click/Last Click attribution for UK, US, and Canada, providing quarterly acquisition forecasts.
* Recommend optimal marketing budget allocation by working with the Lead Data Scientist and applying insights from MMM models and attribution analysis.
Collaboration and Thought Leadership
* Work with the Marketing Analytics lead and Lead Data Scientist to convert insights into action and value.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team to identify opportunities and deliver data-driven solutions.
* Partner with the Lead Data Scientist to promote machine learning and AI initiatives.
* Present strategic insights to senior management to support decision-making and promote data-centric strategies.
* Stay updated on emerging customer data trends and technologies to enhance data management and analysis capabilities.
* Proactively seek best practices, new tools, techniques, and datasets to improve data strategies.
Build a deep understanding of products, processes, systems, and data, and develop strong relationships across the business.
Candidate Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience in marketing or forensic analytics, from a similar role in a consumer business or consultancy environment.
* Strong skills in SQL and programming languages such as R and Python.
* A degree in data analytics, computer science, or STEM subjects.
* Good understanding of statistical and mathematical techniques, with experience in predictive analytics and AI tools.
* A keen interest in understanding the business and a drive to collaborate across teams to create new opportunities. A collaborative mindset is essential.
* Excellent storytelling skills and confidence in engaging with senior management are vital.
