Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer in Derby are looking for a Special Process Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of heat treatments and/or NDT with knowledge of quality processes.

Job Description
Manage the NDT/heat treatment processes and calibration
Maintain and improve quality systems to meet AS9100, ISO14001, NADCAP and customer requirements
Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect culture through audits, KPIs, Walk the Floor routines, and lean initiatives
Support manufacturing and NPI by identifying, resolving, and preventing quality issues using robust control tools (PFMEA, PPAP)
Collaborate with and develop teams to achieve quality, cost and delivery

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Strong experience of heat treatments and/or NDT – FPI/DPI
Knowledge/experience with auditing
