About the role:
1. You’ll be ensuring that each young person has an allocated key worker
2. Ensuring that each member of staff is aware of each child’s placement plan and their responsibilities for its implementation
3. Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
4. Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model
5. Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
6. To assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
7. Contribute to the devising, implementing and evaluation of changes with the involvement of front line staff to continually improve services, systems and standards, in conjunction with the Registered Manager and the Senior Management team
8. To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
9. To support on and off the rota to ensure adequate staffing according to the needs of young people
10. To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and financial records are accurately maintained
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
11. NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
12. Understanding of Ofsted framework (SCCIF)
13. Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
14. Team Building Skills
15. Supervision Skills
16. Ability to manage teams effectively
17. Excellent organisational skills
18. Ability to motivate and enthuse staff
19. A Full UK driving licence is required do to the location and nature of the role
