The Project Support Officer supports the planning, commissioning and monitoring of care and community services across Children's, Adult Social Care, Communities and Public Health. The role focuses on supporting projects, managing and monitoring contracts, analysing performance and financial data, and ensuring services are high quality, safe and value for money. Working closely with project managers, providers and partners, the post helps ensure commissioned services meet local needs, comply with legislation, and deliver positive outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the planning and delivery of commissioned services across Children's, Adult Social Care, Communities and Public Health.
2. Assist with developing commissioning strategies, plans and policies to meet local needs and agreed outcomes.
3. Support procurement activity, including tenders, contracts and purchasing processes, to achieve value for money.
4. Monitor and manage service contracts to ensure quality, performance, and outcomes are being achieved.
5. Implement and maintain performance frameworks, including KPIs and outcome measures for commissioned services.
6. Support quality assurance, governance and risk management processes to safeguard vulnerable service users.
