Head of Inclusion - Slough Lead Inclusion, Safeguarding and Learner Support in Slough We are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Head of Inclusion to provide strategic leadership for inclusion, safeguarding and therapeutic services across a specialist post-16 education provision serving learners with SEND. Based close to Slough, the successful Head of Inclusion will become a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and play a leading role in shaping learner support, safeguarding practices and therapeutic provision. About the Role The Head of Inclusion will take responsibility for developing and embedding an inclusive culture across the organisation. Working within a specialist SEND environment in Slough, you will oversee learner welfare, EHCP provision, therapeutic services and safeguarding processes. Main Responsibilities Inclusion Leadership As Head of Inclusion, you will: Lead the organisation's inclusion strategy and promote best practice throughout the provision. Monitor learner engagement, attendance and wellbeing. Support staff in identifying and addressing barriers to learning. Champion positive outcomes for learners across Slough. Drive continuous improvement in learner support services. Safeguarding The Head of Inclusion will: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Provide safeguarding leadership and oversight. Chair safeguarding meetings and review safeguarding concerns. Work closely with parents, carers and external agencies. Maintain effective safeguarding systems and procedures. Ensure the highest standards of learner welfare across the Slough provision. Therapeutic Provision As Head of Inclusion, you will oversee: Speech and Language Therapy (SALT). Occupational Therapy (OT). Counselling and Physiotherapy services. Therapy Assistants and specialist interventions. Delivery of therapeutic support aligned to EHCP requirements. Annual Reviews and multidisciplinary planning. Therapeutic resources and budget management. Leadership and Quality The Head of Inclusion will: Contribute to organisational strategy and quality improvement. Support self-assessment and service evaluation activities. Present safeguarding and inclusion updates to senior stakeholders. Help drive excellence across all learner support functions in Slough.
