Purpose
You will provide structural engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the structural engineering team.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver structural engineering services that meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
2. Initiate, manage, and supervise structural engineering project requirements as needed.
3. Perform structural engineering services such as participating in relevant meetings, preparing progress reports, ensuring project scope clarity, providing assistance during procurement, designing foundations and reinforced concrete structures, designing steel structures, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing detailed design, specifications, calculations, and reports.
4. Act as the structural engineering Lead on specific projects if needed.
5. Lead and supervise team members, outline project requirements, promote workshare, assign tasks, and supervise progress to ensure services meet requirements, on time and within budget.
6. Proactively resolve discrepancies between Worley and customer requirements.
7. Stay updated with the latest developments in structural engineering.
8. Support junior personnel within the team if required.
9. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, including customers.
10. Identify issues, develop solutions, and seek assistance when necessary.
What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements
* Extensive relevant discipline experience.
* Experience in project leadership roles.
* Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposals.
* Strong technical and practical engineering skills, delivering quality work.
* Knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals and other engineering fields.
* Understanding of applicable standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in structural engineering software and MS Office Suite.
* Significant experience in structural engineering within similar industries and multidisciplinary projects.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Required: 4 or 5-year Bachelor degree in Structural Engineering.
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
