Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure a high standard of care and education for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with experience in childcare settings. This role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing environment while guiding staff and engaging with children effectively.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
* Facilitate effective communication among team members, parents, and children.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate findings to parents.
* Manage daily operations, including scheduling staff and overseeing resources.
* Provide guidance and support to staff in handling challenging behaviours or situations.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare or educational setting.
* Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or nursery environments.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation needs related to the role.
