Department of Oncology, Old Road Campus Research Building, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQ About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Trial Manager to join the Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO). OCTO, part of the University of Oxford's Department of Oncology, conducts trials in early cancer detection, precision prevention and early phase drug trials. You will be responsible for line management and oversight within a portfolio of trials, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met and that resources are allocated appropriately across the portfolio. In this role, you will lead and motivate a team of Trial Managers and trial administrative staff in the successful conduct and delivery of a portfolio of trials. You will be responsible for a range of activities including preparation and timely submission of all trial materials including protocols, submission packages, contracts, and project related reports, including scientific and financial reports as required by sponsors, funders, collaborating stakeholders and/or regulatory bodies overseeing the research. The postholder will be managed by the OCTO Trial Management Director. The post will be based at: Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO), Level 2, Cancer & Haematology Department, Churchill Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LE. This position offers the opportunity for hybrid working. An early start date is essential for this role. About you You will have a degree in a relevant biomedical or associated subject, or extensive trial management experience that is considered equivalent. You will have demonstrable experience of successfully managing a range of trials (to include CTIMPs) across the full lifecycle (design to archiving) and which include sample collection, multiple collaborators, funders, and stakeholders. The ability to lead, support, motivate, train and line-manage staff working across multiple projects or trials in a calm and professional manner is essential. The ability to travel easily in the UK and further afield on occasions is required.
