Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager – Functional Safety & Cyber Security
Location: Farnborough
Responsibilities
* Be the principal authority for safety and security across the electrical and electronic systems.
* Lead a team of engineers (plus outsourced partners), define and embed standards, and oversee the full functional safety and cyber security lifecycle.
* Guide critical projects from hazard and threat analysis to system-level verification to keep products safe, compliant, and future-ready.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
* Proven experience in safety and/or cyber security engineering (e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO/SAE 21434).
* Familiarity with homologation standards such as UN ECE R155 and R156.
* Background in electrical/electronic system design, integration, and testing—ideally from automotive, bus, coach, HGV, or another complex safety-critical environment.
* Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills; ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
* Bonus: Formal certification as a Functional Safety or Cyber Security professional (e.g. TÜV Rheinland); experience with Siemens Polarion; track record representing the organization on cross-company or industry-wide initiatives.
