The Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers and leadership staff to provide high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Delivering planned lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher
* Supporting pupils across a range of year groups and abilities
* Working with individuals and small groups to boost attainment and confidence
* Assisting with classroom preparation and learning activities
* Promoting positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
* Monitoring and recording pupil progress
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents
* Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold HLTA status or relevant experience
* Have previous experience working within a primary or secondary school setting
* Be confident leading groups and covering lessons
* Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
