About the Role
The Performance Analyst will focus on analysing, improving and optimising wind farm performance across the >4GW global offshore fleet, providing technical support to Operations, Asset Management and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
* SCADA & High‑Frequency Data Management: Validate and analyse wind turbine SCADA data and high‑frequency signals from multiple turbine systems, identify technical issues, recommend corrective actions and evaluate effectiveness.
* Performance Optimisation: Conduct proactive data‑driven analyses to detect underperformance, operational issues and early‑stage component degradation, working with site teams to resolve issues and support continuous optimisation of wind farm output.
* Operational Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular meetings with sites and the O&M function, highlight performance concerns, propose improvement initiatives and drive progress on corrective and CI projects.
* Tool & Process Development: Support development and improvement of software tools, analytical processes and automation workflows that enable early fault detection, streamline performance assessments and ensure scalability as the turbine fleet grows.
* Operational Readiness: Support the operational readiness of newly commissioned wind farms and in‑housing of windfarm services through data analysis with cross‑functional coordination to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
* Technical Support for Inspections & Servicing: Provide analytical insights to support turbine inspections, servicing campaigns and component evaluations, ensuring data‑driven decision making and optimal maintenance planning.
Role Requirements And Experience
* University degree in scientific subjects, physics, engineering or mathematics.
* Knowledge of turbine engineering and wind energy conversion.
* Knowledge of wind farm operations and SCADA systems.
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
* Proficiency in Matlab or Python programming.
* Commercial awareness of how turbine performance and technical decisions impact project economics.
* Excellent management, organisational, communication, team‑working and time‑management skills.
* Good English language skills, both verbal and written.
Advantageous, but Not Essential
* Knowledge of MS Access and SQL.
An offer of employment may require holding or being able to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain or maintain such vetting may result in job offer removal or existing employment termination.
