Role: Chiller Service Technician

Contract type: Full time, permanent
We are now looking for additional an Chiller Service Technician to join our elite Service Technician team - The true heroes of our business!
The main goal will be to trouble shoot, support the majority of breakdowns and commission all standard products, mainly industrial water chillers – in order to help provide a high-class service to our customers.
What will I be doing as a Service Technician?
1. To be able to run large sites, single handed and / or supervising other technicians, to the full satisfaction of the customer.
2. Demonstrate and provide expert support in one of the following technical disciplines, general theory and technical support, Centrifugal Compressor rebuilds, Absorption Chillers, Controls Chiller Sequencing
3. Able to fulfil the standard commercial and technical aspects of the contract without supervision.
4. To be able to troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and via computer or phone linkups.
5. To be able to commission standard and large capacity product but also advise on the wider system installation and identify system issues beyond the scope of supply.
6. Attend and participate in customer meetings with little or no supervision
7. Be able to understand and review, to a fully competent level, complex technical documents such as wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, Pressure Enthalpy diagrams, etc.
Requirements
8. Experience within a similar role in the HVAC industry, especially experience with large industrial water chillers
9. Qualification in Refrigeration and Air conditioning
10. Full UK Driving licence (or equivalent)
11. City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants
12. F Gas qualified (cat 1)
13. Technical competence is required with relevant experience of both Carrier and other manufacturer’s equipment.
14. Experience within a Technician role in the HVAC industry
